Hello, my name is pardeap sambi and welcome to my site fotoarte.online. My interest in photography began in childhood. Growing up in poor rural indian villiage, buying a camera was just a dream. But that dream became close to being a reality when I immigrated to Canada at the age of 11. Still , I was not able to afford a camera until I was about 19 years of age.

I bought my first SLR film camera in 1990. It was Pentax K1000 and it came with a 50mm prime lens. I took many photos with it, including the weddings of both of my elder sisters in India. I took photos of my neighbors, friends, families, and relatives. Everyone was very pleased with the quality of the photos in terms of composition and exposure.

I worked mainly with the film cameras until the digital SLR's became more in the affordable price range. Using the film cameras, I learned a lot of about achieving the correct exposure. The three main components that play a role in achieving good results are, aperture, ISO, and shutter speed. To this day I strive to strike a perfect balance among the three.

I never took photography to a career level. I am just satisfied with photography as a hobby. This site is purely for fun and exploration. However, I have put up some of my work for sale and try to earn few extra pesos. Some of money that I will earn from this site will go directly to Colombia to support families in need.
